Army Surplus Rifles for Deer Hunters
Topic: Cloth

Rifles never interest me, may it be from Army surplus or from any other stuff. But because my maternal uncle, to whom nothing excels than the joy of hunting deer after his retirement from the Army, is a good interpreter and thus have created an anxiety in me to know about the rifles. I had found many facts which would really be interesting for dear hunters. So, I am placing them here, so that my co-bloggers may benefit from them.

All deer hunters may not afford to buy the deer rifles which, generally, are available at one thousand dollars and such hunters can be helped with Army surplus rifles which are available at a good bargain. My uncle says that one can get these military surplus rifles for something even less than three hundred dollars. Here is a very important note for the deer hunters that they, before going for a hunt, should get their rifles checked out by a proficient gunsmith after cleaning it thoroughly.

There is another rifle named SKS rifle, which is available for two hundred dollars and you may get it for something less than that at Army surplus stores, if you are a good bargainer.  The rifle is a semi-auto and shoots a 7.62x39 round with it's 30 caliber round which is equipped with power less than a 30-30. There is one more rifle that is most suitable for hunting deer that walks because it is chambered in 8mm and it is none other than the Yugoslav M48. This rifle is cheaper than the SKS rifle and is available for less than one hundred dollars in any reliable Army surplus store.

But if you are not budget conscious and would want to have a good rifle for a deer hunt, then the 30-40 Krag would be the best for you. It is available against four hundred dollars and comes with a side magazine which most people have found to be useful as they have got used it after using the rifle for a minute, even though my uncle says he never felt any craziness about it.

These are the many things which I have learnt, from my uncle, about rifles. If you know anything interesting about these rifles, then please share them with me.
